Christmas-December 2011

I love this time of year!  Everyone seems to be in a good mood, there is a ton of good food every where you look, lots of friends and family to hang out with, decorations, music, parties, secret elves, Santa, and most importantly remembering the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

The week before Christmas were went to Vernal for a funeral for Kurt's cousin.  While we were there we visited Grandma Great (Grandma Pope) and she was able to meet Trey for the first time.  Kurt's Grandma Amy is such an amazing woman and she loves the kids so much.  Amy thinks it's pretty special to be named after her and loves to play at her house.

Four generations (and a football game!)
On Christmas Eve we invited some family (Mandy, Anthony, Mason, and Kraig all came) over to play games and make cookies for Santa with us.  The girls had a ton of fun frosting and decorating cookies.  They were full of sugar by the end of the night!

After everyone left, Amy and Hailey were able to open one present before going to bed.

We also put out the cookies we decorated for Santa and Amy was so excited and confused about Santa coming through the fireplace.

Early Christmas morning the girls found that Santa had come and left them gifts by the tree.  A barbie car for Amy, a Cabbage Patch doll and bubble wagon for Hailey, and an activity center for Trey.

After all of the excitement of opening our Santa gifts and seeing what was in our stockings, we hurried and got ready for church.  Amy and Hailey looked so cute in their new Christmas dresses from Grandad and Grandma Doe Doe.

After church was over the girls were super excited to get home and open up the rest of their gifts.

After some much needed naps, we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Oaks' for some more gifts and good food.

After a very eventful 2011 we are ready to ring in 2012 and see what the New Year has to offer us.  Merry Christmas everyone!
