Someday....
I will have time to blog again! I have so many pictures that I want to post, but no time to put them on. Maybe after Christmas I will be able to. After all I do have a whole week of vacation that I have to take before the end of the year! See you then!

September into October...
I haven't had the time to sit down and blog for awhile, so this post is a little bit about what we have been doing these last couple of months.
In September...
Over Labor Day weekend we loaded up the truck and tent trailer and headed to Colorado to go camping with the Ealey's (well most of them anyway).

My dad, Uncle Mickey, and Mom enjoying the day

Amy had a blast playing with cousins, hula hoops, dirt, sticks, riding 4-wheelers, hunting dinosaur eggs, chasing dogs, and just being able to run around.

This is one of the dinosaurs Amy found during the dinosaur egg hunt.
Amy got some new jammies!

One morning I went to get Amy out of bed and found her like this! We both laughed so hard!
We went to a wedding open house.

The happy couple, Deena and James.

Laura, Amy, and Lonnie at the open house.
In October...
We made brownies!

We went to Gardner Village.

I wanted Amy to sit by the pumpkin, and she thought I meant to sit on it!

They have lots of witches "hanging" around!
Amy got a new winter coat.

Amy found a new love for shoes.

We visited Hee Haw's Pumpkin Patch.

I took Amy into this haunted house and she really hated it! After we got out all she could say was "dark, dark".

Amy's First Day of Nursery

I can't believe that Amy went to nursery today! She did really good and never cried once! She seems so little to be in there. Her teacher told me that Amy was cute and had a lot of fun. What a huge sigh of relief.
To celebrate the occasion she got a new dress and shoes and has been real excited to wear them. She thought it was so funny that her shoes made noise when she walked down our hallway. They are Sunday shoes and make a little click when she walks.
My baby is officially a little girl!

Camping 2009
This past weekend we loaded up our tent trailer and headed for the mountains. It was the first time we were able to go camping this year, and we had a lot of fun. Mandy and Anthony were able to go with us also, and I think they had fun too.

This was our camp site. We had a lot of open space for Maggie and C.J. to play in, and they loved it! Minutes after we let the dogs out of the truck, Maggie went hunting and found some sort of animal (small mouse looking thing) to chew on. She found two more after that while we were there! C.J. found a couple of old tennis balls and loved running after them. I think Anthony went home with a sore arm from throwing the ball to C.J. so much!

Amy found some really fun rocks to climb on at camp. Unfortunately, she went off of the other side and landed right on the side of her face. Poor girl!

We had lots of fun just hanging out around our camp. Amy loved to play in the dirt, explore, and eat cheese!

We went on a short hike to a beautiful waterfall. Of course Amy loved playing in the water. She would put her hands in it and then say "BRRR". She was so cute!

Then we went on a longer hike on a trail that was across the road from our camp. The scenery was amazing! We live in such a beautiful country and I hope that we can take more time to get out and enjoy it. Amy is a good little hiker, but she was very sleepy on the way back and couldn't keep her eyes open!

The American Cancer Society:
I am currently signed up for the Relay for Life walk in my area to raise money to help in the fight against breast cancer. My team and I will be walking on July 31st-Aug 1st for this great cause. Today our team leader issued a challenge to our team to see who could raise the most money in one day! I only have $10 right now and my goal is $100 so I have a ways to go. If anyone could help out even a little bit I would really appreciate it. Just click on the link above and you will see my page.
Thanks!!!

Miss Amy
This girl is getting to be so independent these days. She is always on the go and never stops for anything. She is so silly and knows how to make her mommy and daddy laugh. She doesn't like mommy to be very far away and will let you know it by saying "mama" when she can't see her. She also loves her daddy and gets excited when he calls to talk to her on the phone. She loves to look at "wa-wa" and play in the hose and faucet as long as it doesn't splash her in the face. She loves her doggies and tries to get them to chase her around the house. She also loves to read books and look at all of the pictures. Her favorites are, "Bubbles, Bubbles", "Pet the Bear and His Alaskan Friends", and her princess book that sings songs. Amy loves to climb up and down stairs, play outside, and watch mommy blow bubbles. She is growing up so fast. Mommy and daddy love this girl so much and are so happy to have her in their lives.

Lynn M. Pope Family Reunion 2009
This past weekend we traveled to Vernal, Utah for the Pope Family Reunion. Amy Pope Johnstun is Kurt's grandma and Linda's mother, and she is also who our Amy Marie is named after. All of Linda's brothers and sisters were in attendance for at least one day, and most of the grand kids and great grand kids were there also. Kurt's grandpa, Lynn, passed away in 1970 and didn't get to meet all of the wonderful family members who were in attendance, at least not here on earth that is. I'm sure he knows everyone of his family members and loves them very much.
It was fun to meet new people and reconnect with others. I really felt like I didn't get to talk to anyone very much because Amy was constantly on the go and I was constantly running after her. She loved to play on the slides and climb the stairs of the playground, and she also loved to play with the kites and balls that were there. Kurt and I took her to a splash park on Saturday and she really didn't want anything to do with the water. I tried to take her near the water, but once she got splashed she was ready to play as far from the water as she could. She loved swimming at the hotel though, and didn't care one bit that the water was cold. We were able to go on a horse and buggy ride and Amy thought that was pretty fun. She even got to hold the reins and drive for a bit!
We were able to attend church with Grandma Pope on Sunday and then enjoy a yummy lunch at her house afterwords. It was fun to watch Amy run around and smell all of the pretty flowers. She was so worn out by the time we finally got in the truck to leave and it wasn't long before she was asleep once we got on the road.
Here are a few pictures from the reunion.
