Happy Valentine's Day!

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and while I'm not the biggest fan of the holiday, I still like to hear what people get and give to their friends and family. So, what are you giving or what did you get this year? Do you do something special, like go out on a date, or make a special dinner at home? As for Kurt and myself, we really don't have anything planned. I have gotten flowers, chocolate, diamonds, and a stuffed bear in the past, but really I don't need anything (not to say that I don't like it or appreciate it) for Kurt to show his love for me. It does make me feel special when I get something and I do enjoy giving a valentine, but sometimes I feel like the day is too commercial. Okay, who am I trying to kid, I love being remembered on Valentine's Day, but simple is nice. Tell me about your Valentine's Day, past or present.

I just informed Kent that I would be expecting some diamonds tomorrow. If Kurt can do it, so can Kent, right?
Our Valentines are usually pretty low key. It is always so busy, so we don't go out. I usually get my family a little something to let them know I love them and that is about it. =)

Growing up we always did a "Hearts Desire" dinner. Each of us would draw part of the dinner out of a hat, (main course, veggie, drink, dessert, etc), and then we could pick whatever our little hearts desired! It was a fun tradition that Greg and I are keeping up this year with a group of friends.

I like to make valentine's themed breakfasts for the fam. I made toast with a heart cut out and an egg cooked inside the heart this year. Mine were not even close to being as cute as Martha Stewarts, but you could still tell what I was trying to do!

I agree. I want to be remembered, but I don't want much money spent. Simple is good.

Keith and I went with our kids to a monster truck show and then to Ogden to check out the iFly indoor skydiving.
